Chemical Recycling

Our group also aims to reverse the polymerization process to regenerate the monomer from the polymer. Efficient chemically recycling of polymers/plastics is an important topic in society and we strive to make a contribution in this area. To achieve this goal, we leverage our expertise in controlled radical polymerizations to drive the reverse reaction (i.e. depolymerization) under simple and mild conditions.
